Mark chapter 9 records an incident of a desperate father pleading for Christ's help for his son. He is told, " all things are possible to him who believes" (Mark 9:23) This means that there is something we can do when it comes to changing impossible situations: BELIEVE.

Ephesians says we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works that God has prepared for us to walk in. (Ephesians 2:10) If we walk in an attitude of faith, it seems that these works that God has for us appear frequently. When we walk in unbelief and doubt they seem few and far between.

First of all, fear is described as a spirit. The spiritual force of fear would literally strangle the life out us. God lifted us out of it's grip and set us on an incredible course of faith and hope. He gave us a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind instead.

As long as we are alive, it is God's vote for us to have another chance. We must not give up on ourselves. Because Christ went to the extremes to save us, we are obviously valuable to Him.

As believers, we have been given an inheritance through Christ. A large part of that is revealed in Psalm 2:8, "Ask of me and I will surely give you the nations as your inheritance." If we believe this then we go out expectantly, knowing that God is at work to open doors and bring His kingdom through us.

Frustration and worry never produce progress in our lives. If we could invert the definition of frustration we would describe an attitude of faith: A deep chronic sense or state of security and satisfaction arising from resolved problems or fulfilled needs.

Don't quit, don't get discouraged when you have missed opportunities. Ask for direction, get back on track and don't allow yourself to be condemned. The Holy Spirit does not condemn you when you make a mistake.

"Faith comes from hearing the message..." (Romans 10:17) The more of God's Word we hear, the more opportunity we have for our faith to grow.

We must realize that what we see and feel can mislead us. Our feelings can go up and down like the stock market. What we see in terms of our circumstances can tell us we have no hope. But when we walk by faith we look at Jesus and His promises to us and learn to trust them instead.

Living by faith means that in the way that we start our Christian lives, hearing God's Word and believing it, is the way we are to live everyday. (Galatians 3:1-5)

After His resurrection Jesus appeared to His disciples for 40 days and spoke to them about the kingdom of God and gave them "many convincing proofs". (Acts 1:3)
It must have been one of the most intense and fulfilling periods of his followers' journey. They were being prepared to go and impact the world by having their faith strengthened and their vision focused by the Lord Himself.
For the next 40 days, we are going to focus on building our faith, and we'll be focusing our vision of God's kingdom.
These short daily podcasts (3-5 minutes) are geared to intentionally build our faith.
Join me every day as we walk this "40 Days of Faith" journey together.
"Podcasting" is really just a term coined to describe online technology used to easily deliver rich media to you.
Most websites serving "Podcast" pages work fine with any modern internet browser. (Opera, Firefox, Safari, etc)
But to really maximize the best of podcasting technology -- such as having the ability to "subscribe" and automatically download the latest media files from your favorite
podcast websites, we highly recommend downloading the latest version of iTunes.
And if you aren't much of an iTunes fan, you can always download and install these other freely available software:
No, not really. Any software that plays MP3 files such as iTunes will suffice.
But it does help to have an iPod or any other portable MP3-player in hand if you want to listen to your favorite podcast while you're "on-the-go".
