It is vital that we understand the true nature of our God that is exhibited in His blessing His people. There is a clear promise of God's blessing for those who trust and obey Him.

Mothers know about trusting God. It is because of the prayers of mothers and grandmothers through the centuries that multitudes have come into the Kingdom of God.

One of the great needs when it comes to receiving physical healing is to believe that it is His will to heal you. If we know that He is willing to heal us there is a basis for faith.

It is not a lack of faith to pray repeatedly for the same problem. Instead of giving up, Jesus prayed "once more" for the blind man's healing. (Mark 8:25)

Hebrews 13:8 is an anchor verse for us as believers. Whatever Jesus did in the Bible, He will do today. If He healed then, He will heal now. Whatever you see Him doing then He will still do for us if we believe.

Jesus turns to us and says "Don't be afraid, just believe." We all have the same choice when we face bad news. Fear or faith. We can give in to the despair of the day or we can make a decision to believe the best can happen, even in the face of impossible odds.

What is our response to the healing power of the Savior? Yes we are grateful and thankful to Him for it, but on a practical level we can respond by dedicating ourselves to serve Him. This is what happened when Jesus healed Peter's mother in law. (Mark 1:31)

In one of the most unusual and even controversial encounters in Scripture, Jesus tells a non-Jewish woman who requested a healing for her daughter, "..it is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs" (Mark 7:27)

Psalm 103 says, "Bless the Lord O my soul and forget none of His benefits: who pardons all our sins and heals all of our diseases." This should make us shout for joy!

In Mark 4, Jesus was teaching the disciples before their fateful trip in the storm. It seems he took them intentionally into this trial of their faith. I don't know why we think that the evidence of our faith is the absence of conflict or trouble.

After His resurrection Jesus appeared to His disciples for 40 days and spoke to them about the kingdom of God and gave them "many convincing proofs". (Acts 1:3)
It must have been one of the most intense and fulfilling periods of his followers' journey. They were being prepared to go and impact the world by having their faith strengthened and their vision focused by the Lord Himself.
For the next 40 days, we are going to focus on building our faith, and we'll be focusing our vision of God's kingdom.
These short daily podcasts (3-5 minutes) are geared to intentionally build our faith.
Join me every day as we walk this "40 Days of Faith" journey together.
"Podcasting" is really just a term coined to describe online technology used to easily deliver rich media to you.
Most websites serving "Podcast" pages work fine with any modern internet browser. (Opera, Firefox, Safari, etc)
But to really maximize the best of podcasting technology -- such as having the ability to "subscribe" and automatically download the latest media files from your favorite
podcast websites, we highly recommend downloading the latest version of iTunes.
And if you aren't much of an iTunes fan, you can always download and install these other freely available software:
No, not really. Any software that plays MP3 files such as iTunes will suffice.
But it does help to have an iPod or any other portable MP3-player in hand if you want to listen to your favorite podcast while you're "on-the-go".
